Mount Selection is the epitome of fruity and spicy coffee, an elite coffee that is particularly popular among connoisseurs of bright acidity. Grown at an altitude of 2000 metres above sea level, in the shadow of the foothills of Mount Kenya with its rich volcanic soil, terroir and varieties, this is classic Kenyan coffee at its best. It's one of the world's favourite coffees, so expect bright lemony acidity, stone fruit sweetness and a clean finish. This variety is grown in different regions that are centred around the famous Mount Kenya. This area is well known for its unique varieties, which grow deep in the rich volcanic soils at high altitudes and enrich the cup with a variety of complex flavours. As soon as the berries are ripe, they are harvested and sent for processing. At each washing station, the harvest is processed selectively by hand. The berries are delivered to the stations on the day of harvest, where they are sorted before being cleaned: unripe and overripe berries, as well as foreign objects, are removed.
