Coffee Honduras SHG Aruco 100 g whole bean white

The Aruco farmer cooperative was established in 2006 on the initiative of 14 coffee producers in the municipality of Corquin, Copan. Today, it unites more than 200 producer partners. All of them, together with their families, are involved in production and harvesting. Aruco's plantations, with a total area of 1700 hectares, are located at an altitude of 1000-1600 meters above sea level. This bean was harvested by farmers on the plantations in Santa Barbara and Comayagua. Coffee from Santa Barbara is marked with the special geographical indication (GI) Honduran Western Coffees (HWC) and is characterized by its sweetness and slight acidity. Comayagua is located in the central part of the country and is considered to be the region with the highest coffee yields in Honduras. Local farms are often visited by tourists to learn about the coffee growing process.
